WALL VS. THE WALL
The MSM (shockingly) mocked POTUS when he officially changed the term from "the wall" to just "wall," and here's I think why.
"The wall" is a "countable" noun—as in there can be "a wall" or "multiple walls," similar to
>There should be fewer traitors in the media.
"Wall" is a "noncountable" noun, in that it's indivisible
>There should be less treason in the media.
A common shill fracture point is
>Where's the wall?
Implying that you either have a wall or you don't; but any sensible person (arguing in good faith) realizes that a wall is built incrementally: you don't just plop down 2,000 miles of wall overnight. So, by using "wall," he's emphasizing that it's being constructed in degrees, and that there's measurable progress over time.
