This is an unrelated comment, but I was thinking:
Huawei + China is pushing 5G really hard. To the best of my knowledge no US corp is making a big push towards 5G. I'm wondering if (((they))) are leading that lack of an effort on purpose to force us (USA) into getting chinese 5G tech.
So are our guys doing nothing? Why would they just let that happen? Because 5G is fucking stupid, let's just build a fucking datasphere.
Enter: Space Force! A global network of comms satellites would need SOMETHING to make sure it isn't crippled, especially if we're going to rely on it.
So that's the thought: Let (((them))) waste their efforts and resources trying to be sneaky and forcing chinese 5G onto the world while whitehats transition towards a space-based society, step 0 being a secure, safe, defensible, and reliable datasphere.
