Don't think in terms of a unary output. It's not A for B, it's A for B, C, D, maybe an E, could get an F and G if we're lucky too. They're all different shapes and sizes of outcomes. B might be a goal in its own right, C might be something that helps something else down the line, F might be cover for a K, etc.
