And I found some real weirdness…

It turns out a TON of websites contain practically the same sentence about Eminem's parents. It says that they were in a band "called Daddy Warbucks, playing in Ramada Inns along the Dakotas-Montana border"

Daddy Warbucks is of course a character who originally appeared in the Little Orphan Annie comic strip. That itself might be stranger than I thought. Above is the pic currently featured on the wikipedia page for "Daddy Warbucks".

The character was based on the real Paul Warburg, a German-born Jew who seems to have been the prime force behind the establishment of the US Federal Reserve System.

It gets even stranger.

There don't seem to BE any Ramada Inns along the Dakotas-Montana border. That's a current map, so it might not accurately reflect 1971, but it seems highly unlikely that there were "many" Ramada Inns in that region, since there aren't even many ROADS there.

And…

The corporate history of the hotel chain describes the name Ramada as chosen from a Spanish word meaning "SHADY resting place".

Eminem himself seems to have claimed that either: 1) "Slim Shady" was a name that childhood friends gave him, or 2) that he came up with while on the toilet.

WTAF?!
