Looks like the Dims are running a whole crowd to:

a) give each of them more prestige and power to do the bidding of the DNC lobbyists

b) make any action against the announced candidates look politically motivated

c) ensure that none of the current crop will get the majority so the superdelegates – who the DNC uses to select their chosen one, and who were supposedly removed from power – will again select the candidate

Would guess they are planning to run an entirely different candidate from the current field of wanna-be's. Most important to them is to keep Bernie out, even if it means another Trump term, because they fear Bernie might upset their continuing DNC schemes
