Taking care of things is conservative. People have been taught to be consumers. It's unsustainable, obviously. Using
government to force compliance isn't going to work. People need to be empowered to learn to care about their health, indirectly
that redounds to the environment.
I think waking means knowing there are things to care about. First is the personal. Best expressed in taking care of your health.
Consumerism and conservationism don't mix. What keeps a consumer a consumer is the lack-awareness of how good he can feel if he took care of himself.
