I see several things playing out in a compressed time line.
Smollett cleared by corrupt prosecutor with damning and direct evidence of the linkage between the players all the way thru Obama to Soros. The entire fraud is exposed, Feds step in, he goes down anyway.
Mueller report exonerates Trump, blockade removed. Full court press on the usual suspects now that collusion has been shown to be on the dems, not Trump.
Bump stock ban, red flag laws passed and signed by Trump. Promptly overturned by SCOTUS (by design), congress and Trump "tried" to do something (Optics are important) ensuring the re-election of Trump. He continues to move the SCOTUS to the right which will never pass anti gun crap for the next couple generations. It's all part of the plan.
