So I’m trying to square the Rahm response; please permit me a bit of mind-wandering as I am a long-lurking newfag and I can’t keep up with autists anyway.

Known connections:

Smollett -Foxx -> Tchen -> MO

Axelrod -Renegade

Known situations:

a. Following Smollett’s charge change, Rahm claims injustice.

b. Axelrod also dislikes the outcome.

Similarities in message:

“Rich and powerful get an unfair pass”

Possibility 1:

Rahm and Obamas had a falling out some time back; Rahm returned to Chicago and is angry at the Obamas. This doesn’t make sense though due to consistency with Axelrod message.

Possibility 2:

Axelrod and Rahm are flipped. I don’t see how this could be possible, but LGraham is flipped now apparently so bets are off.

Possibility 3:

Smollett is the sacrificial lamb. If he’s held accountable for crimes, it calms the masses down, and they start to feel like they’re taking justice back, appeasing the sense of rage against actual injustice.

Possibility 4:

If this whole situation connects back to the Obamas, it seals the deal that the Obamas are corrupt, because it shows that they’ll use their political pressure to do what they want. Rahm and Axelrod would therefore be in the field to give optics in support of Possibility 3 (above).

Maybe then the unexpected lashing from Rahm is therefore a defensive play to shield other possible behavior and the depths of Chicago and national corruption?
