Q NOTICE ME

On the subject of performance, I recall in 2012 the internet went down in a way that stood out to me. After that, general internet latency seemed to increase about 20ms regardless of the target/route.

<do you remember?

<my theory is that a rudimentary internet "kill switch" infrastructure was implemented in core routing hardware, large scale, coordinated

<kill switch allowed for (required?) gateways to request permission to route traffic from a government "computer."

<initially mocked out to 'allow pass all', laying the groundwork to be the auth layer to software-defined networking design for internet control

<20 ms because each request is serviced by a regional "server"

>fusion centers also = internet routing permission server datacenters?

What do you know about this?
