WW2 wasn't unnecessary, Japan attacked us.
Right, pearl harbor was allowed to happen, which means Japan attacked us. Which means Japan had intended to attacked us whether we allowed it to happen or not, which means WW2 necessary.
>we had all their codes and comm traffic, everything except purple translaated instantly we knew it was coming
Right, we knew it was coming because we had everything we needed except public approval. Once Pearl Harbor happened the entire country was ready to go to war. It sucks Pearl Harbor had to happen, but it had to happen.
Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack during an escalation between 2 countries. At best 9/11 is a terrorist attack, at worse a false flag perpetrated by our own countrymen to gain acceptance of infinite war on terror and the patriot act. They are in no way similar.
I agree, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 were similar in that it gave the US citizens a common enemy to rally against. The difference which was the topic of conversation started because WW2 was called unnecessary and my point was that it was necessary because we were attacked and it wasn't a false flag. Once again for the reading comprehension impaired. WW2 was not unnecessary.
Fair. To a handful of politicians it wasn't a surprise. To the rest of the nation it was. Doesn't negate the fact that WW2 was necessary.
