The Russian toll farm and people indicted by Mueller … they were engaged in 1st amendment activity. The law broken was failing to register as foreign before buying the ads. The fact an entity is registered foreign (or not) doesn't have to be in the ads, and even if it was, the message is still 1st amendment material, and the message is what the masses see.

 

Likely 100,000-fold more votes were swung by mass media propaganda than by social media chatter and "social media paid ads." The hoax had a powerful influence on the election. The Russians were a fart in a hurricane.
