I understand and see your point. Like I said, would like to hear arguments from both sides. But to essentially make them completely whole again after some period of time is not a deterrent. A felony is a felony. If, as a society we think some crimes are worthy of the criminal being made whole again, perhaps those crimes should not be a felony in the first place. Thinking of your 19 yoa example. Wouldn’t that save time and money on the system and duress on the criminal on the front end?

Could also be our own version of this.

>Look HERE [RUSSIA]

>DO NOT LOOK HERE [CHINA]

Just spitballing, but Venezuela could be a distraction by good guys and was planned along ago to use it as such while at the same time destroying their socialists. Meanwhile, is progress being made in China regarding their DS? POTUS made a comment once regarding their readiness. It seemed odd and as if things may be happeneing over there

>Well, the definition of a felony is simply a crime that is punishable by a term of one year or more…this takes in no consideration of the type of crime, nor its rehabilitory status. Some things you can reflect on and make right.

That’s my point, maybe they should be reclassified as misdemeanors in order to fix the problem on the front end rather than the back end. I’m out. Thank you for the discussion.

See my other replies. Most states, they end up taking away your privilege to drive after X amount of DUI’s. Perhaps classify certain crimes as a loss of constitutional rights and others as not. Or make non violent ones meeting certain criteria misdemeanors instead of felonies.
