The Chinese counter-intelligence services cleaned house from 2010 to 2012. They eliminated, through various means, at least 20 Central Intelligence Agency spies operating within the country. The network of Chinese nationals took years to build, some have said decades. The Chinese were capable of destroying the network in two years. Only one was officially arrested, the rest simply disappeared from agency contact.

The US government disagrees on how the network was discovered. Operation Honey Badger was reportedly the name of a joint FBI-CIA investigation into intelligence fiasco. The investigation turned up nothing. Some point the finger at a Chinese hack, some suggest a former CIA operative sold out, others suggest it was faulty tradecraft.

A Chinese security ministry official has been arrested on suspicion of spying for the US and passing on state secrets, Hong Kong media reports say.

The man, who was private secretary to a vice-minister in the security ministry, was arrested earlier this year, various press reports say.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declined to comment on the reports.

If confirmed, it would be the third major incident to hit China-US relations in the past few months.

It would also be the highest-level spy case involving China and the US to become public since 1985, when intelligence official Yu Qiangsheng defected to the US.

The official had been recruited by the CIA, local press and Reuters report.

'Pretty woman trap'

Hong Kong-based Oriental Daily quotes the monthly New Way as saying on 25 May that the official "fell into a pretty woman trap" set up by the CIA.

After the two were photographed in secret liaisons, he was blackmailed and agreed to supply secret information to the US, the reports say.

"The destruction has been massive," a source told Reuters.

During Strzok’s testimony last month, Rep Louie Gohmert took him to task over the “anomaly” found in her email server.

Gohmert: You said earlier in this hearing you were concerned about a hostile foreign power affecting the election. Do you recall the former Intelligence Community Inspector General Chuck McCullough having an investigation into an anomaly found on Hillary Clinton’s emails?

Let me refresh your memory. The Intelligence Community Inspector General Chuck McCullough sent his investigator Frank Rucker along with an IGIC attorney Janette McMillan to brief you and Dean Chapelle and two other FBI personnel who I won’t name at this time, about an anomaly they had found on Hillary Clinton’s emails that were going to the private unauthorized server that you were supposed to be investigating?

Strzok: I remember meeting Mr. Rucker on either one or two occasions. I do not recall the specific content or discussions.

Gohmert: Mr. Rucker reported to those of you, the four of you there, in the presence of the ICIG attorney, that they had found this anomaly on Hillary Clinton’s emails going through their private server, and when they had done the forensic analysis, they found that her emails, every single one except four, over 30,000, were going to an address that was not on the distribution list. It was a compartmentalized bit of information that was sending it to an unauthorized source. Do you recall that?

Strzok: Sir, I don’t.

Gohmert: He went on the explain it. And you didn’t say anything, you thanked him, you shook his hand. The problem is it was going to an unauthorized source that was a foreign entity unrelated to Russia and from what you’ve said here, you did nothing more than nod and shake the man’s hand when you didn’t seem to be all that concerned about our national integrity of our election when it was involving Hillary Clinton. So the forensic examination was done by the ICIG — and they can document that — but you were given that information and you did nothing with it. And one of the things I found most egregious with Mr. Horowitz’s testimony, and — by the way Mr. Horowitz got a call four times from someone wanting to brief him about this, and he never returned the call.

In other words even Michael Horowitz knew about it, or at least didn’t want to know about it, and that’s why he downplayed Peter Strzok’s bias in the OIG report.

“When [the ICIG] did a very deep dive, they found in the actual metadata — the data which is at the header and footer of all the emails — that a copy, a ‘courtesy copy,’ was being sent to a third party and that third party was a known Chinese public company that was involved in collecting intelligence for China…The [the ICIG] believe that there was some level of phishing. But once they got into the server something was embedded. The Chinese are notorious for embedding little surprises like this.” Former Intelligence officer to the Daily Caller

Strzok was supposedly the FBI’s top counterintelligence agent. But he was more interested in trashing Trump and covering his buddy Hillary than protecting the security of the United States.

When this was brought up to Hillary’s spokesman, Nick Merrill, he claimed it was a “distraction” from the “very real threats” by the man in the White House, and fluffed off the Daily Caller as not important.

Who’s distracting who? Who colluded with who? It’s a fight for any outlet to get this kind of information out to the public. Be sure to read more at the Daily Caller link provided.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/louie-gohmert-mueller-wants-to-impact-the-election-and-screw-over-the-president

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, asserted that special counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the ongoing Russia probe, is seeking to negatively impact the 2018 midterm elections to “screw over the president,” comments that come as Trump’s legal team is seeking to arrange an interview between Mueller and Trump.

“I have known Robert Mueller for 20, 30 years, and he is not going to stop until he gets some kind of indictment against the president,” Gohmert said in an interview with Fox News Wednesday.

Gohmert then alleged that Mueller deserved to be investigated and that his probe is “of an area he is totally disqualified from,” citing that he FBI director when the agency looked at his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s sale of uranium.

“Mueller should be investigated and instead, he is the special counsel. This is a guy that doesn't care. He is hoping he will affect the election and screw over the president,” Gohmert said.

BZ…

asides all his other shenanigans…from the document

People say those kinds of things just don’t happen in America. They certainly seemed to

when Mueller was in charge of the FBI and they certainly seem to while he is Special

Counsel, as well.

It appears clear that President

Obama and his myrmidons knew of

Mueller’s reputation, that he could

be used to take out their political

opponents should such extra-legal

actions become politically

necessary.

To the great dismay of the many good, decent and straight arrow FBI agents, Obama

begged Mueller to stay on for two more years than the 10 years the law allowed.

Obama then asked Congress to approve Mueller’s waiver allowing him to stay on two

extra years.

Perhaps the leaders in Congress did not realize what they were doing in approving it. I

did. It was a major mistake, and I said so at the time. This is also why I objected

strenuously the moment I heard Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed his

old friend Bob Mueller to be Special Counsel to go after President Trump.
