IRI is a State Department run, Congressionally funded organization that is designed and intended to meddle in foreign elections. It has a counterpart for the DEMs, National Democratic Institute. These two outfits were thrown out of Russia about 15 years ago. Actually made the news.

The US is very open about meddling in foreign elections, and it also uses clandestine actors to affect foreign elections.

FWIW, wiki refers to these outfits as non-partisan, non-profit. These outfits are US government creations, with a Republican and Democrat side equally funded to maintain the illusion of "free and fair election, giving the public a choice." We export the publicly funded scam. It's a globalist endeavor, and the US is still firmly under globalist control.
