Always, always, always carry a can of pepper spray. Works great on those times when you'd rather use your automatic, but can't. LEfag here, it works. Very well…especially for these types of situations. Just be sure and yell "Stop attacking me!" and hose their face down good.
Red hat should = pepper spray. Nobody said we're punching bags. Don't look for trouble, but it shouldn't look for us.
Pepper gel holds together nicely and goes a little farther.
