I doubt it. I see the talk as pressure on Pelosi. Allowing Schiff to keep the position, but being discredited, only diminishes Congressional oversight of the intelligence apparatus. And Congressional oversight is nothing but a grandstanding activity to impress the public, so no harm in bagging it for a couple years.

At no time did a Congressional reveal of intelligence community abuse, stop that abuse. All that Congressional oversight did was case the abuse to be institutionalized and protected. See snooping abuse moved over to the FISA Court - pure waste of money. Snooping is more wholesale now than ever.

Very hard to get people to understand. Too busy, and most are deeply conditioned to view their vote as an important right - one that the government sees as fundamental to all. The people in government don;t care if the system collapses in the future. They are short sighted - and to keep power, then need votes, so they bribe for them. In the government's view, "the system (democracy with universal suffrage)" is great. It is also easy to sell.

Founders understood that once given, the vote is near impossible to take away. The world has been on a "globalist" track forever, and technology sped the process radically beginning with telegraph and radio, in the early 1900's.

I try to "red pill" people I come in contact with that universal suffrage is trouble, and why it is trouble, and I suggest a simple fix, "welfare or vote, pick one." That can be sold. It is a commonsense solution to deficit reduction when the deficit is social welfare managed by the feds. Get rid of the fed layer, return social safety net to state, city, and private charity.

Everybody has a different measuring stick for pain. Some see the gutting of FBI/DOJ/State as at least moderate pain on DS, others need a deeper cut to feel it.

It's not over 'til it's over; patience is a virtue; kvetching hurts you more than it hurts them; your anxiety and anger is a personal thing to you.
