Please test.

Exit all of your apps and reboot the phone. Once the phone is to the home screen:

Go to Settings → Apps and Notifications → → show all apps → Google.app's info page.

Stop the google.app process.

Clear app cache

Clear app data

Go to app permissions.

Turn off all permissions listed in the google.app permissions section.

Disable Google.app.

#This next step comes with a caveat.#

#Google services will complain every time the phone is restarted after disabling Google Play services. Blame Google for the FUD. At least the error message gives a bullet list as to why they are so mad over it.#

Go to Settings → Apps and Notifications → show all apps → Google Play services page.

Clear app cache

Clear app data

Go to app permissions.

Turn off all permissions listed in the google play app's permission section.

(note: this app cannot be disabled)

Reboot the phone.

Google play services can no longer collect data. Should not affect non-UID branded phones, but needs testing.

For gmail users: get another email provider.
