I figure it went out and refueled a patrol aircraft of some sort just offshore. ADSB-on is rare for fighters/secretive patrol equipment or would not be expected for a raiding group headed for Venezuela (hypothetical). The KC-10 is a tanker, not a sensor/intel machine like the P3 /6/8's the navy uses.
