I believe that when we die, we are taken out of what we understand as space/time so what other people call the rapture happens simultaneously for all people no matter if they died thousands of years ago or yesterday.
No waiting room.
When the last trumpet sounds, we all stand before the Lord God Almighty who will judge the living and the dead. Some will still be alive on this earth when He shows up. The wicked will pray that the mountains fall on them to hide them from God's wrath. But of course no one can hide from God.
