A possible scenario is that this was the first senate race (a special election) since Trump was elected. It has been suggested that Obama secretly pardoned people before he stepped down, and new crimes needed to be recorded by the new administration. So Jeff Sessions becomes AG, his senate seat becomes available. Multiple devices were used against Moore, the sexual allegations, the vote gathering in the prisons, the busing in of voters from beyond Alabama. This would have especially pleased Sessions, because he was blocked from prosecuting voter fraud years earlier. (See Marion 3) The illegal acts and hypocrisy will be red pills as this continues.
