What a sordid mess this has turned into.

When Smollett was charged with 16 counts I thought it was bad for them.

But now with the charges being dropped, at least in Illinois, its only getting worse.

I still believe Harris and Booker were complicit in this fiasco, but now it appears the Obama's are too.

And now Foxx, who's nothing more than a stupid pawn in a deeper game than she probably understands, is being pressured to step down.

Even if she survives these calls to resign I have to think her political fortunes going forward are damaged.

Hopefully the DOJ, with POTUS cracking the whip, will get to the bottom of all this.
