True. I worked trade shows a number of years ago. Chinese would come to the vendor booths and take lots of close-up photos of new products. Within a year cheap copies of those products would come out of China.
One trade show responded by banning cameras. The following year some Chinese companies hired sketch artists to go through the show with pencils and sketch pads. Now smart phone cameras are good enough there's no real way to stop it.
