House Judiciary prepares to subpoena full Mueller report

The resolution to be voted on Wednesday would also authorize the committee to issue subpoenas for documents and testimony from five current and former White House aides.

WASHINGTON — The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday is expected to approve a resolution to issue subpoenas for the full report prepared by special counsel Robert Mueller as well as documents from five former officials from the administration.

The committee on Wednesday morning planned to consider the resolution, which calls for the final Mueller report as well as “any accompanying exhibits, annexes, tables, appendices, other attachments and all evidence referenced in the report” as well as “underlying evidence collected, materials prepared, or documents used by” Mueller’s office.

The measure would also authorize the committee to issue subpoenas for documents and testimony from five individuals: former White House counsel Don McGahn, former Trump adviser and White House strategist Steve Bannon, former White House communications director Hope Hicks, former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and former White House deputy counsel Ann Donaldson.

Conservative Wins HUGE Upset in Wisconsin Supreme Court Race, Will He Survive the Recount?

When I say huge, I mean huge. This essentially assures the Wisconsin Supreme Court stays conservative for the next decade at least.

Conservative Brian Hagedorn was not supposed to even be competitive in this race. Republican groups abandoned him (always finding ways to try to lose) and refused to spend money on his campaign. Instead, he now holds a 5,000+ vote lead over liberal-backed Lisa Neubauer with 99% of precincts reporting.

'' A conservative win would increase their majority to 5-2 and ensure their control over the court, which they’ve held since 2008, for years to come. It would be a particularly stinging defeat for liberals, who were confident and riding a wave of wins in 2018, including picking up a Supreme Court seat and ousting Republican Gov. Scott Walker.

Conservative Brian Hagedorn, who was Walker’s chief legal counsel for five years, led liberal-backed Lisa Neubauer by 5,911 votes out of 1.2 million cast, based on unofficial results. That is a difference of about 0.49 percentage point, close enough for Neubauer to request a recount but she would have to pay for it.''

Hagedorn declared victory early Wednesday morning.

The House Judiciary committee’s demand that Attorney General Barr release the Mueller report including grand jury testimony and classified information' is dangerous and ridiculous.

House Judiciary Democrats authorize subpoenas for Mueller report

Dems who fumed over 'sources and methods' in Nunes memo demanding full Mueller report

The House Judiciary Committee voted along party lines Wednesday to authorize subpoenas for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s full report after the Justice Department missed a Democrat-imposed deadline, in a major escalation of the battle between Congress and the Trump administration over access to underlying documents and evidence from the Russia probe.

The vote was 24-17, with all Democrats supporting and all Republicans opposed. The authorization of subpoenas does not mean the committee will issue them but gives Democrats on the panel the option to do so. Republicans fumed over the move, accusing their counterparts of "political theater" since the DOJ has already pledged to cooperate.

But while Attorney General Bill Barr says his team must first redact sensitive information, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., made clear Democrats want unfettered access to the documents.

"The Trump administration has an idea. They want to redact the Mueller report before they provide it to Congress. The Department of Justice says the proposal is a means to protect sensitive information that would not ordinarily be made part of the record," he said Wednesday. "But we have reason to suspect this Administration’s motives."

While a memo from Barr on the report said Mueller found no evidence of collusion with Russia, the AG also said the investigation did not reach a conclusion on whether President Trump obstructed justice.
