And my argument is, it was always that way. Christ showed the way that it always was. God's people were subjugated by the old systems of laws and sacrifices. We've been deceived since OT times, and our history was replaced with misinterpretations and inaccuracies. When people start to question it, you either get the system of control's "best answers", or the path to a life that leads you away from the true understanding of God.

I don't doubt for a second that many believers have been saved through their journey through a comped belief system to find their way, but so many more have been lead astray from our real purpose. I mean, they gave us the best part at the beginning of the NT, but if you take just the texts in red and compare it with the rest, it's like comparing a broken and ever-changing system at the beginning, and a great deal of conjecture afterwards.

I am SO GLAD I'm not the only one. I spent so long studying eschatology, and I kept thinking to myself the entire time "why?". In another response to anon:

I think it fits.

I maintain that sacrificing an animal was never required, and that the practice of doing so was introduced by those that did not have God in their hearts. Sacrifice of self makes WAY more sense, always has. If you are telling me God needs a blood sacrifice, then I'm calling shenanigans. It reminds me of everything we've learned about Epstein and the wicked we're fighting against in the here and now.

>Hey, you. You fucked up. Go get your best cow and deliver it to the priests for sacrifice for atonement for sins.

>If you don't do this, but still live a good life, you'll get into heaven anyway.

I don't buy it. What I see are priests having a BBQ once a week with the poor people's sacrifices in order to "keep God from being so angry all the time".

I think there are serious problems with Biblical history. Whose written it, controlled it, and interpreted it for us all over the thousands of years of recorded history. Again, it only took until a couple of thousand years ago for God to finally be like "Fine, I'll do the sacrifice my damned self".

It doesn't add up.

Well, the sacrificing thing was going on well before Christ, which is why I called bullshit on the whole thing all along.

https://biblehub.com/leviticus/18-21.htm

'Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.

To imply God needed a blood sacrifice does nothing but raise a metric shit ton of questions about the true nature of God. Think about communion, and what the Catholics say about transubstantiation. It's literally nothing more than an adaptation of the same form of worship of Dionysus.
