I can appreciate your concerns. The two books were written many many years apart, and in very different circumstances. I'm sure you would agree that as you go through life, the way you articulate your writing and your writing style will have changed. I know mine has.

 

Second, the nature of Jesus is an exact replica of the nature of God, as they are one. God has multiple aspects to his personality, not unlike us. Jesus is all loving, but an aspect of love is discipline. He also has the very important role of Judge and carries out the sentence for sin, which is death. This could be considered unjust if he wasn't so open and freely offering an option for salvation.

 

Those who He carries out His judgement against in Revelation are those who have accepted the mark of the beast, which worship the antichrist as God. In this, they recieve their just reward.
