Hadn't put much thought into the plastic straw debate - until now.
Worked in a couple of restaurants years ago, and the rule of not handling dinnerware where peoples' mouths will be/have been was common sense at one time and a stern rule for young newbie employees. Before long, everyone passing around the same "cold" year-round became commonplace, as things became more "slack".
While looking at POTUS pics in his winter hometown's paper, came across pic-related. Eww. Think they're washing their hands before putting that twist into your Martini? Carelessness on the "editor's" part to post that specific shot, or more proof that they COUNT on people being beyond oblivious to everything?
