Mexican grown product is a cover for border smuggling, drugs, people, weapons…Bill Clinton put that into place, cover for trafficking, tax payer dollars in aid to south american countries to grow food instead of drugs (guess what they take the money and still grow the drugs) and destabilize America’s abilty to feed its population.

This. Most fruit and veg products from Mexico are grown in Cartel controlled areas. Also, almost everything grown south of the border can be grown in the US. Also, big grocery and food service cant make an 800% profit on US grown fresh fruits and vegetables

important to note that the number one excuse for open or unrestricted borders is related to agriculture; either for “we wont be able to have X!” or “who will harvest our crops?” often both. Illegal immigration has very little impact on Ag except to be the industry scapegoat of why the border must stay open. Less than 1% of people crossing the border go into anything agriculture related. US growers have to jump through hoops to prove citizenship or the correct visa eligibility. Also, labor, sanitation and food safety laws do not exist or are not enforced in central and south america.
