You kidding me? They get a dollar a piece for Mexican Avocados at Ralph's Supermarket. I only see California grown at Sprouts, and they are at least $1.50 a piece for Organic. There are more and more organic vegetables that used to be grown in the USA, now being imported from Mexico. Green Onions, Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, etc. I've looked it up online and supposedly USDA has the same standards for organic as the USA, but still suspicious of anything from Mexico they represent to be organic, with all of the corruption there.
