I have to assume that 'avocado' refers to children of a particular ethnicity. Presumably Mexican (or a subset thereof), since that's where Avocados originated.
See: Cashmere sweaters, bananas, rice, etc.

>Agnes Torres Hernández, or Agnés Torres (b. 1983, Tehuacán, — d. 23 March 2012, Atlixco) was a Mexican psychologist, researcher, and transgender activist.
>Torres advocated for the legal recognition of the transgendered in Mexico, and was murdered for her work on 23 March 2012.[1] After her death, the Puebla state congress incorporated "hate crime" into the Civil Defense Code for crimes made on the basis of gender or sexual orientation.
So the valley widely believed to be the origin of DS-favourite avocados is also the origin of a major Mexican tranny activist whose death was used to push hate crime legislation South of the border?
That's one hell of a coincidence.
