This image is taken from Marvel Comic’s character: The Punisher

The Punisher first appeared in issue #129 of The Amazing Spider-Man as an antagonist of Spider-Man. He later joined the wall-crawler and other superheroes, and became the infamous anti-hero of the Marvel Universe. A famous characteristic of The Punisher is the symbol that’s displayed on his chest: an elongated white-colored skull with long teeth.

Symbolism:

The skull symbolizes the injustice coming to criminals. The skull is meant to stir up fear in villains. The bright white color of the skull draws enemy fire to the chest instead of other parts of his body. The teeth blends with his belt, which contains extra ammo for his weapons. A drawback to his days in the Vietnam War, when he utilizes the skull symbol to taunt the group of people who capture him. Punisher’s skull design and nickname underwent various iterations. The first logo was small, but one of the conceiving artists (John Ramita, Sr.) enlarged the symbol and provided functional uses (see the list above) for the character. His intended name was “The Assassin” but Stan Lee nixed the idea and instead borrowed the name “The Punisher” from another Marvel comic book saga.

The Navy’s SEAL Team 3 paints The Punisher’s skull symbol on its military gear. Reporting on former SEAL Team 3 sniper Chris Kyle (who claimed to have made 255 kills, which would make him the most lethal U.S. sniper in history), the Daily Mail notes that for SEAL Team 3 the “action was enough that the members of the unit adopted the white skull of the gun-wielding comic book vigilante The Punisher. They painted the symbol on their body armor, their vehicles and even their weapons.” The New Yorker, reporting on Kyle’s death, also notes the use of The Punisher’s skull symbol by SEAL Team 3: “Kyle seemed to consider himself a cross between a lawman and an executioner. His platoon had spray-painted the image of the Punisher—a Marvel Comics character who wages ‘a one-man war upon crime’—on their flak jackets and helmets.” Kyle liked the skull symbol so much that he incorporated it into the logo of his company Craft International, which provides tactical training for military and law enforcement personnel.
