AOC Revolts, Launches Coup Against Nancy Pelosi
Nancy Pelosi rules her caucus with an iron fist. She gets away with it for one reason – she raises a ton of money and hands it out liberally.
She is rich, her husband and family are rich, and her friends are rich. If you want her money you have to get in line.
In House races, a little money goes a long way too. Pelosi has multiple devices she uses to raise and disburse funds to keep people in line.
Enter AOC… who just went after Pelosi’s cash cow and thus her power center in what all consider a silent coup.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the first-term progressive superstar, took to Twitter last week and told her nearly 3.8 million followers to “pause” their donations to House Democrats’ official campaign arm — the organization charged with keeping Democrats in the House majority.
“Give directly to swing candidates instead,” she tweeted, sharing the campaign websites of several of her vulnerable Democratic colleagues, who just won in previously Republican-controlled districts.
The controversy comes down to something the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has always done informally: prioritize incumbent Democrats.
But last week, the organization put it in writing, publishing its criteria for determining which political vendors — like direct mail companies, advertising firms, or political consultants — it will do business with in 2020. And it made clear that won’t include vendors that work with candidates challenging incumbent Democrats.
The official policy change sparked outrage among House progressives, several of whom found their way to Congress by doing exactly what the DCCC appears to be discouraging: challenging sitting Democrats.
Ocasio-Cortez is one extremely notable example. She beat out Joe Crowley, a New York Democratic Party boss who had even been tapped as a possible successor to Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Another is Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who beat out Boston Democrat Mike Capuano.
Both Pressley and Ocasio-Cortez, with the support of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, called the DCCC’s decision a “divisive” policy and an effort to “blacklist” groups.
The DCCC has pushed back on the term “blacklist.” There is no active list of Democratic political vendors that are banned from the DCCC right now, and this has always been the unspoken policy, one Democratic Party aide familiar with the guidelines told Vox.
But progressive House members are calling out what they see as an exclusionary policy that could cut off important coalitions within the party.

A new national poll that was just released from Quinnipiac isn’t looking good for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
The New York representative has gotten a lot of media attention since she won her primary last year. But while she’s gotten a lot of attention it hasn’t translated into popularity, including among Democrats.
From Conservative Tribune:
Tim Malloy, associate director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, noted Ocasio-Cortez’s increasingly negative image in a news release that accompanied the polling results.
“All is definitely not A-OK for AOC. Most voters either don’t like the firebrand freshman Congresswoman or don’t know who she is,” Malloy said.
The survey, conducted via telephone to more than 1,300 likely voters between March 21 and 25, found that 36 percent of people believed the young Democrat from New York had thus far been bad for the Democratic Party and its image. Conversely, 33 percent responded as saying Ocasio-Cortez has had a positive impact.
Quinnipiac University Poll also found that 36 percent of voters viewed the freshman representative unfavorably — creating a negative 13 percent margin when juxtaposed with her 23 percent favorability.
Another striking element of the poll is that only 47% of the Democrats viewed her favorably, with most of the remainder begging off a definitive response saying they didn’t know enough to judge yet.
That doesn’t bode well for her.
And Ocasio-Cortez was not happy with the poll, melting down and blaming Democrats not viewing her favorably on the “concerted far-right propaganda machine.”
Is that the “vast right-wing conspiracy” which Hillary Clinton blamed for why she was unpopular?

Palo Alto Company Fires Woman Who Tried To Dox MAGA Senior In Starbucks
Earlier this week, a woman in a Palo Alto Starbucks tried to dox an elderly man sitting enjoying his coffee whilst wearing a MAGA hat. She confronted him over his hat and started posting threatening messages on social media hoping that he would have ‘nowhere to turn to’.
She called the man “Nazi scum” and posted pictures of him on social media asking the public for help finding him — “I want him to have nowhere to hide,” she wrote — a practice called “doxing,” or posting personal contact information to encourage threats and harassment.
“I am going to publicly shame him in town and try to get him fired and kicked out of every club he is in. I am going to go to his house march up and down carrying a sign that says he hates black people. I am going to organize protests where he works to make him feel as unsafe as he made every brown person he met today.”
People sided with the senior though, and Palo Alto resident Ms Rebecca Parker Mankey, started to see that the era of ‘doxing’ MAGA-gear wearers is over.
In the end, her frantic social media outbursts caused people to turn against her. By now, she has been fired by her employer, Gryphon Stringed Instruments, a store that was inundated with angry emails, phone calls and negative yelp reviews.
On Gryphon’s Facebook page, the company said: “Gryphon does not believe anyone should be harassed or subject to hate speech no matter their beliefs. Music has historically been something that has brought people of diverse socio-political backgrounds together.”

In Manchester, pamphlets have been distribute by a group called Public Purity have demanded that Brits do not take their dogs out in public as dogs are considered impure in the Islamic faith.
The groups message is that British citizens must do certain things that may be considered uncomfortable in order to make its Muslim citizens feel more at home. Why exactly this type of whiny, ultimatum inducing behavior would make citizens of a non-Islamic nation care how its Muslim residents feel is unclear.
What is clear, however, is that this type of intrusive behavior from Muslim immigrants helps to explain British citizens unwillingness to remain in the European Union.
British citizens were roundly denounced as xenophobes following the #Brexit situation, but if this pamphlet is any indication the Brits way of life really was being challenged by these new visitors.
