God is perfectly just

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

God is also perfectly merciful

For God so loved the world, He gave His only son as a perfect sacrafice for our sins.

When God told Abraham to sacrafice his son Isaac, he was demonstrating this.

At the last minute though God saved Isaac and a ram was provided as a sacrafice instead.

God is both judge and redeemer.

Hi grammar/spelling nazi

Thanks for pointing that out

I'm a terrible speller and have been spelling it wrong my whole life.

I used to spell divine wrong also until a 5th grader pointed it out to me.

I agree with most of what you say.

God did require the Israelite to sacrifice animals in the Old Testament as a representation of the promised messiah.

Jesus fulfilled the prophesy of the Messiah so animal sacrifices were no long necessary after Jesus death and reserection.
