I remember Trump backing off the wall recently when battling with pelosi and then going full out in favor of the wall right after. Maybe the same thing with the border closure.
He did the same thing with Pelosi recently regarding all the border funding. Pretended he was going to back off the wall and then did a 180. Pelosi came out looking bad because it seemed like she was willing to give at all even when it was in the best interests of everyone. The President is baiting for sure.
