Was that before God went from walking/talking in the Garden to "unable to find Adam and Eve" whilst they hid from his presence, or later on when God became Omnipotent, all Powerful, all Knowing? Asking for a friend.

Nah. I think I'd rather understand where all the lies are coming from, first. A loving god isn't going to require blood. Doesn't add up at all, especially considering that eternal communion with God was never predicated on the concept of temple sacrifice. OT Saints are depicted as making this integral for their worship, but their eternal salvation wasn't determined by this, as many believers make it VERY apparent that the animal sacrifices weren't sufficient to cover sins. How did OT saints "get into heaven"? Same as NT saints; direct communion with God. This is the PRIMARY REASON the Pharisees had Jesus killed.

I'll ask again - without conjecture or quoting some source riddled with issues. Why does GOD need BLOOD?
