ANONS!!!!!! I've figured something out for once!!!! The Aircraft Carrier, USS Carl Vinson, which visited Vietnam a few days ago, just departed TODAY! The whole purpose of it being there was @Snowden!!! He's on that ship!!!!
On 5 January 2018, Carl Vinson (CVN-70)left San Diego for her next scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific.
On 25 February 2018, "Carl Vinson" entered the South China Sea.
On 5 March 2018, the ship entered Da Nang Port, alongside USS Lake Champlain (CG-57) and USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG-108), on a scheduled visit to Vietnam. This visit was planned from when President Donald Trump was on a State visit to Vietnam. Sailors on the ships will engage in cultural activities and training with the Vietnamese Navy. This visit is hoped to "increase the relations between the two countries."
It departed today, March 9th, 2018.
