No to both of you. Here is why.
What several states have already done (I think NM, Colorado, CA, many others), is to choose how to determine the electoral votes for their states in a new way.
The US Constitution gives each state a number of electoral votes depending on their total number of people in the US House of Representatives + Senate (2 each).
It is up to the states what they choose to do with the electoral votes that they have been given.
These liberal states are choosing to change the way their electoral votes are decided for THEIR states. They do have the right to do this.
What they are doing is changing (each for their state only) that their own state's electoral votes will no longer be decided by the residents of their states, but rather by the total vote in the entire country.
This can backfire BIG LEAGUE on them.
You see, for example, previously California was always a lock for Demonrats. But now, if we win the popular vote in the entire US, we also win CA's electoral votes, even if inside CA the Dems win.
What they are doing will not have any effect on all of the other states (like Texas) which will still choose their electoral votes based solely on the votes only within Texas. All other states which don't sign up also still are in control of their own electoral votes.
Since Dem states are the only ones doing this, we could end up with a Trump landslide if he wins the popular vote. If not, then we will only lose the Dem states who signed up, which we would have lost anyway.
Those idiots don't know it, but they are helping us, because now a vote in Texas (and all other red states) not only goes for selecting TX electoral votes, but also has an impact on the say in all states who signed up for this, like CA. It is glorious! They are so stupid!
