Can anyone here point me to a good reason to be suspicious of the Signal app? I know it's comped, because it was developed by Twitter's head of security, is used by Google, Facebook, and WhatsApp, and is strongly recommended by outlets like Wired (which is deeply comped) but haven't been able to find anything credible about its weakness. It gets hacked from time to time according to Vulnerabilities database, but that's normal. Any insights deeper than normal greatly appreciated.

No it's more principled than that. JA has never betrayed a source, and knows that even doing so once would prevent others from leaking. Comped Wikileaks is betraying sources left and right, though. Eye says many have been killed, not just SR.
