When this song came out over 30 years ago, I found the reference to Asmodeus and Belial a little sinister to say the least. Those words came back to me recently, but I couldn't remember the song title or even the tune, but I could recall the reference.
Knowing what I do now, I checked out the lyrics with fresh eyes and it is is even more disturbing than I had originally thought.
Take this stanza for example:
