Judicial Watch Forced to Delay Clinton Email Deposition After DOJ and State Dept Defy Court-Ordered Deadline

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch was scheduled to take the deposition of John Hackett, a State Department records official “immediately responsible for responding to requests for records under the Freedom of Information Act” on Friday, April 5th.

The government watchdog group was forced to delay its Clinton email deposition because the Deep State DOJ and Department of State failed to comply with a deadline.

“Turns out we had to delay today’s Clinton email deposition because the State and Justice Departments failed to comply with the court-ordered deadline for needed documents,” JW president Tom Fitton said in a tweet Friday evening.

Thanks to Judicial Watch, a court wants to know if Hillary Clinton’s private email system was designed to thwart FOIA.

Judicial Watch announced last month a schedule of depositions of senior Obama-era officials, lawyers and former Hillary Clinton aides.

Thanks to the heavy lifting by Judicial Watch, Judge Royce C. Lamberth, who called Hillary Clinton’s use of the private email server “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency,” ordered these corrupt Obama and Hillary officials to provide answers, under oath, to the watchdog group about the Benghazi and Hillary Clinton email scandals.

Recall, Judge Lamberth previously slammed Hillary’s corruption and said the State Department provided ‘clearly false’ statements to derail requests for Hillary Clinton documents.

Judge Lamberth, a Reagan appointee, said he was “dumbfounded” when he found out that Hillary’s aide-turned-lawyer Cheryl Mills was given immunity.

If not for Judicial Watch, Americans wouldn’t even know about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server which she set up to avoid FOIA oversight of her Clinton Foundation pay-to-play while she was the head of the Department of State.

Judicial Watch blew the story wide open and their FOIA lawsuits also revealed Hillary Clinton was sending classified information over her private server.

A name of a clandestine CIA agent was even found in a tranche of emails uncovered by Judicial Watch — classified Hillary emails were found on pervert Anthony Weiner’s laptop after his wife, Huma Abedin, who happened to be Clinton’s aide, appeared to sync Hillary’s emails to her computers at home.

This is the second time in recent days the DOJ and State Department tried to derail Judicial Watch’s scheduled deposition of Obama-era-Clinton aides.

A couple weeks ago, Obama’s speech writer-turned-Iran-echo-chamber Ben Rhodes defied a court order to provide written answers, under oath to Judicial Watch and the State Department and Justice Department objected to Judicial Watch who sought an in-person interview with Mr. Rhodes.

US to Declare Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps a Terrorist Group - Report

The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization (FTO), the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing sources in the administration.

The move could be announced as early as Monday, April 8, according to WSJ. If carried out, it will mark the first time another country's military has been branded as a terrorist group. Reuters reports that three sources close to the matter confirmed the WSJ account to them, and that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been pushing for the new designation.

The IRGC is already sanctioned by the US: the Department of Treasury imposed sanctions on the military organization in October 2017 under a 9/11-era executive order issued during the George W. Bush administration.

"The IRGC has played a central role to Iran becoming the world's foremost state sponsor of terror. Iran's pursuit of power comes at the cost of regional stability, and Treasury will continue using its authorities to disrupt the IRGC's destructive activities," Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin said at the time.

"We are designating the IRGC for providing support to the IRGC-QF, the key Iranian entity enabling Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's relentless campaign of brutal violence against his own people, as well as the lethal activities of Hizballah, Hamas, and other terrorist groups. We urge the private sector to recognize that the IRGC permeates much of the Iranian economy, and those who transact with IRGC-controlled companies do so at great risk."

Per the US Department of State, designating a group a foreign terrorist organization is "an effective means of curtailing support for terrorist activities and pressuring groups to get out of the terrorism business." The most recent group to be added to the list is the militant jihadist organization Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin. It was added on September 6, 2018.

Tesla's embattled and increasingly erratic CEO Elon Musk may have been involved in a physical confrontation with an employee who had handed in his resignation last September, according to Bloomberg. The incident occurred when the employee, who had resigned, returned to work to say goodbye to his colleagues.

After word had spread that the employee had resigned, Musk accosted the worker, swearing at him and telling him to leave immediately, according to the report. Musk also reportedly made physical contact with the employee in a "heated confrontation that drew the attention of other employees" before spilling out into the hallway and later the parking lot.

The departing worker, described by his peers as "one of the best problem solvers and a great business mind" (which may explain why Musk felt… challenged) reportedly went to get his backpack prior to leaving, but Musk physically blocked him, telling him to just "get the fuck out". Musk then confronted him outside, telling the employee "I will nuke you!" if he harmed Tesla. Some speculated that the warning was meant to keep the employee quiet about what had taken place that day.

SYRIA: U.S clings to “regime change” fantasy by occupying Syrian territory and threatening economic warfare – Peter Ford

With the military situation largely frozen, the last two months have been marked mainly by developments involving the US – the ending of the ISIS caliphate in the US-controlled part of Syria, Trump’s U-turn over keeping US forces in Syria, and US recognition of Israel’s annexation of the Golan.

Ambassador James Jeffrey, the US special envoy for Syria, gave an under-reported press briefing on 25 March which made fairly plain the US strategy. Far from being sated with its demolition of ISIS and resigned to Assad’s ‘victory’, the US clearly clings to its desire to remove Assad and proposes to go about that through economic warfare and by maintaining a military presence using the pretext of ensuring the ‘enduring’ defeat of ISIS.

“Okay, that’s a broad question. First of all, the political solution. The U.S. policy in Syria is to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS. We’re a big step closer to that today, but ISIS still lives on in various cells and in the minds of many of the people in the areas that we’ve liberated. [Not just cells and minds actually: thousands of ISIS fighters hold territory in desert areas contested with the Syrian army in nominally government- controlled territory, but acknowledging that would mean acknowledging that Assad is fighting ISIS].

“Secondly, to ensure a political process that will give us a different kind of government [there you go, regime change] that will encourage people to come back [because then we shall stop using depopulation as a weapon] and be a decent player in the international arena [wonderful euphemism for being more pliant towards Israel], unlike what we’ve seen from Syria in the last eight years. And then thirdly, the removal of all Iranian-commanded forces from the entirety of Syria [even though, unlike ourselves, they are there by invitation].

“So our forces will stay on in very limited numbers in the northeast and al-Tanf to continue our clearing operations and stability operations against ISIS [even though in Al Tanf there are absolutely no ISIS] for a period of time not to be determined at this point [i.e. we plan to stay indefinitely].”

Former Democratic staffer who doxxed Republicans pleads guilty — here's the punishment he's facing

Doesn't sound like enough considering who he targeted

A former staffer for a Democratic congresswoman has pled guilty to several counts related to his revealing personal information of several Republican members of Congress during the debate over Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination.

Jackson Cosko was arrested in October 2018 over his hacking that amounted to "an extensive computer fraud and data theft scheme," according to prosecutors.

Here are the charges that he pled guilty to:

Two counts of making public restricted personal information

One count of computer fraud

One count of witness tampering

One count of obstruction of justice

He could face up to two years in prison.

Cosko admitted that he stole information from congressional computers because he was angry over being fired by Democratic Senator Maggie Hasan (N.H.).

He burglarized her office several times in order to gain access to proprietary computer information, including personal information of several members of Congress.

He then published some private information to the Wikipedia pages for Republican members of Congress, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Cosko also worked for other members of Congress including Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas).

Despite Cosko's meddling, Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court was approved.

FDA Wants to Lower Amount of Fluoride in Bottled Water, but Scientists Say it is Still Too High

Rather than combating the high levels of pesticides found in much of the food grown in the United States, the negative effects of factory farming, or the lack of clean water available to numerous communities across the country, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing slightly lowering the standard for fluoride content in bottled water.

Thankfully, scientists and environmental organizations alike are pushing back on the proposed changes, saying the new standard will still be too high for safe consumption.

The FDA’s current standard straddles 0.8 and 1.7 milligrams per liter. The new regulation, if finalized, will lower the standard for both imported and domestically packaged bottled water to 0.7 milligrams per liter. The new regulation only addresses bottled water with fluoride added during the process, not bottled water that contains fluoride from the source.

For years, critics of the fluoridation of drinking water have maintained that it is not safe nor helpful in combating tooth decay. As long as critics of fluoride have existed, so has a campaign to mock those same people as conspiracy theorists or science deniers.

In 2015, the U.S. Public Health Service suggested that 0.7 milligrams per liter was the optimal concentration for fluoride in community water. According to the FDA, the proposed rule “is based on findings from evolving research on optimal concentrations of fluoride that balances fluoride’s benefits in preventing tooth decay with its risk of causing dental fluorosis, a condition most often characterized by white patches on teeth.” Dental fluorosis is caused when too much fluoride is consumed while teeth are still developing.

Some scientists are now speaking out, expressing concerns extending beyond tooth health and instances of dental fluorosis.

Christopher Neurath, research director of the American Environmental Health Studies Project, published a study this year highlighting a “dramatic increase in fluorosis” over the last decade. Over 30% of adolescents involved in the study showed “moderate and severe dental fluorosis” with 35% showing lesser, but still significant, signs of dental fluorosis.

Neurath maintains that the slight decrease in bottled water fluoridation that would result if the standard were approved would do little to reduce occurrences of dental fluorosis.

“Dental fluorosis is a visible sign of overexposure to fluoride, but there are other nonvisible signs and adverse health effects that are much more serious,” Neurath said. “Currently, there are rapidly increasing scientific studies showing neurotoxicity to fluoride.”

Dr. Philippe Grandjean, adjunct professor of environmental health at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, wrote:

Given that fluoride can damage brain development, I would recommend that the maximum fluoride concentration in bottled water be kept at a lower level than 0.7 mg/L.

15 Jewish college students arrested protesting outside Birthright offices

IfNotNow members have been arrested previously while protesting other major Jewish groups, such as the Anti-Defamation League.

NEW YORK (JTA) — Fifteen activists from IfNotNow, a Jewish group of millennials that protests Israel’s control of the West Bank, were arrested Friday while demonstrating outside Birthright Israel’s offices in New York City.

The activists were college students, according to IfNotNow, which has been protesting Birthright in a variety of ways since last year, including walking off of its free 10-day trips to Israel.

The activists want Birthright to address Israel’s control of the West Bank on its trips, as well as Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. Birthright says it does not address political issues on its trips. The trips do not visit the West Bank.

IfNotNow members have been arrested previously while protesting other major Jewish groups, such as the Anti-Defamation League.

The arrests at Birthright took place at the end of a 90-minute protest outside of Birthright’s Manhattan offices. At first, more than 100 activists blocked Third Avenue, a busy thoroughfare, during rush hour. They were cursed by commuters and honked at by vehicles backed up in traffic.

After about 20 minutes, the protesters moved to the sidewalk in front of Birthright’s office building, and 15 activists blocked the entrance, sitting in a row.

Protesters held signs reading “Confront the crisis” and “Stop lying to young Jews.” Their shirts read “Birthright, you choose: Us or the donors.” An IfNotNow spokesman said activists had also attempted to speak to Birthright staff in the building.

After about another hour of protesting and repeated warnings to disperse by about two dozen police officers who had massed by the sidewalk, the police arrested the activists blocking the door. They did not resist and were loaded into two police wagons.
