"A man was detained by authorities Friday night after claiming he had a bomb on the Benicia Bridge, prompting more than an hour of gridlocked traffic on Interstate 680, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Southbound traffic on I-680 at the bridge was temporarily shut down while police tried coaxing the “possible jumper” who claimed to have a bomb to safety."
