This is my experience as well. I don't believe that everyone is actively looking to take advantage of others, but someone else's lack of awareness (or just sheer stupidity) can get you hurt/killed just as easily as evil can.

I've also learned it's not always "survival of the fittest." Sometimes it's just "survival of the good enough." But I chalk it up to living in a blue state laden with fat fraudulent welfare recipients kek. And it may be showing weakness on my part, but this board gives me hope.
