EXCLUSIVE – Trump Tower Witness Rob Goldstone on Dem Probe Efforts: ‘I Don’t Know What Is New’

Rob Goldstone, the English publicist who sent Donald Trump Jr. the infamous email claiming Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton, commented on a recent request he received from Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee as well as ongoing attempts to continue the Russia collusion probe.

“I hope it doesn’t get to a point where maybe because some people didn’t get the result that they had hoped for with the Mueller report that they will start investigating the investigation and just make it some ongoing diatribe,” Goldstone said in an interview. “There is nothing new,” Goldstone said. “We all have given sworn testimony before a grand jury. So, I don’t know what is new.” “I am happy to do it again because it’s the same story.” he added. “But if they need to hear it, with pleasure.”

Besides sending the email that sparked the June 9, 2016 meeting, Goldstone was also inside the Trump Tower conference room and witnessed the entire get together between top Trump campaign officials and four Russian nationals. Breitbart News previously reported that three Russian participants at the meeting have ties to the controversial Fusion GPS outfit, and two have confirmed ties to Hillary Clinton. Last month, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee issued official document requests to 81 agencies, entities and individuals associated with President Donald Trump or the Russia narrative in a purported effort to probe supposed wrongdoing by the president. Goldstone was among those who received those requests. Notably, the list of 81 requests did not include Fusion GPS or Clinton.

“Over the last several years, President Trump has evaded accountability for his near-daily attacks on our basic legal, ethical and constitutional rules and norms,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler claimed. “We will act quickly to gather this information, assess the evidence, and follow the facts where they lead with full transparency with the American people.” Addressing the request and other ongoing efforts to probe the Russia narrative, Goldstone stated: As somebody who is among the 81 people who have been asked by Jerry Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee to supply information and potentially go to testify before if not the committee then staffers for the committee later this month it is not really over. It is just over in a different way. Those committees are still open. Some of them.

Goldstone said he doesn’t know what more he can offer after already extensively testifying to numerous Congressional committees and to investigators from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office. Goldstone also gave dozens of interviews to the news media and wrote a book on his escapades titled, Pop Stars, Pageants & Presidents: How An Email Trumped My Life. Goldstone was speaking in a radio interview set to air on this reporter’s talk radio program, “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia.

Obama hails youth climate protests

Berlin (AFP) – Former US president Barack Obama, visiting Berlin on Saturday, hailed weekly protests by youths against climate change, saying “the sooner you start, the better.” The Friday protests involve schoolchildren and teens and have been inspired by Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg. “Many of these people can’t vote, they are too young to vote yet, but they know what’s going on,” Obama said during a meeting with youths in Berlin. “You wouldn’t let your grandparents decide what music you listen to, or what clothes you wear. Why let them decide what world you will live in,” he said. “Things change when we strongly mobilise,” he said. “Our planet on which we live is in danger. We can’t succeed by sitting back and waiting for someone else to do it”.

Obama, who left the White House in 2017 after two terms, was in Germany to promote his foundation. He signed the Paris climate accord in 2015 which calls for capping global warming at “well below” two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) but the planet is currently on track to heat up by double that figure. His successor Donald Trump decided in June last year to exit the accord.

EXCLUSIVE: Moshe Feiglin Predicts ‘Real Surprise’ in Israeli Election

TEL AVIV — Moshe Feiglin, chairman of Israel’s Zehut Party, says that heading into Tuesday’s election here he feels “there is an electricity in the air” and excitement about the possibility of his party scoring well. “The feelings are very, very good,” Feiglin continued. “A feeling that something is happening here that is much bigger than just politics. And what is really exciting is the fact that the concept of freedom gets together people from the left and right. Religious and non-religious. It just makes us very happy.” “I can’t tell you how many mandates we are going to have but hopefully it is going to be a real, real surprise,” Feiglin stated about his party’s prospects.

The Israeli politician was speaking in an interview set to air on this reporter’s weekend talk radio program, “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia. Feiglin’s surge in the polls the past four weeks sent shockwaves across the Israeli political arena amid widespread speculation that his party could be the ultimate kingmaker in the formation of the next government, determining which Israeli leader will be able to cobble together enough seats to form a majority coalition in the 120-seat Knesset. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu finds himself facing a tight race from Benny Gantz, a former chief of the Israel Defense Forces. The next occupant of the prime minister’s office could be decided by the size of smaller parties like Zehut on the right or left endorsing either a Netanyahu or Gantz coalition.

Last month, Zehut was projected to cross the electoral threshold with four seats. The latest polls show the party garnering five to six seats with Zehut insiders saying they believe there is a possibility for even more. Feiglin formerly was a Knesset member in Netanyahu’s Likud Party. Feiglin’s libertarian policies have been attracting voters from the right, center and the left. Zehut’s extensive platform seeks to massively lower Israeli regulation, especially as it relates to the cost of living, housing and taxes. On all major issues, Zehut’s philosophy consistently calls on government to minimize its role in the personal lives of Israeli citizens.

When it comes to security and the so-called Palestinian issue, the religious Zionist Feiglin takes a strong line promoting the territorial contiguity of the land of Israel. The one Zehut policy issue that has perhaps garnered the most attention and significant electoral support so far is the party’s call for the legalization of cannabis, with Feiglin aligning his anti-establishment ideology with the sizable marijuana legalization crowd.

Sudanese protesters clash with security forces outside Bashir's compound

KHARTOUM (Reuters) - Thousands of Sudanese protesters clashed with security forces outside President Omar al-Bashir’s residence in central Khartoum on Saturday in what appeared to be the biggest demonstration in months of protests against his 30-year rule, witnesses said. Across the River Nile in Khartoum’s twin city of Omdurman, which also saw protests into the evening, one civilian died from injuries sustained during “rioting” and other civilians and police officers were wounded, state news agency SUNA said, citing police reports.

The victim was a laboratory doctor, according to a statement from an opposition doctors’ committee. Medical staff have played a prominent role in the protests, in which dozens of people have been killed over the past three-and-a-half months. Security forces fired tear gas at protesters in Omdurman and at stone-throwing demonstrators near Bashir’s residence, who had responded to a call by activists trying to increase pressure on Bashir to step down. They waved Sudanese flags and chanted slogans demanding “freedom, peace and justice” as they gathered outside the gates of the compound, guarded by soldiers, that also houses the defense ministry, army command and security headquarters. By the evening, the clashes subsided as security forces pulled back, allowing the thousands still gathered to remain outside the compound. Witnesses said young demonstrators sang nationalist songs and danced for joy. Some said they would stay until Bashir stepped down.

Information Minister Hassan Ismail, who also serves as the government spokesman, praised security forces for the way they handled the protests and said the government remained committed to dialogue to resolve the crisis. “The approach followed by government apparatus was met with satisfaction from citizens,” Ismail said in a statement. “Sudanese blood is the most precious thing we need to preserve”.

Bashir has refused to step down, saying his opponents need to seek power through the ballot box. “Today, we won and we are confident that the regime will fall,” said Mohamed Saleh, a 63-year-old university professor who estimated the crowd to be at more than 100,000 people. An independent estimate for the number of protesters was not immediately available. But witnesses said the protest appeared to be larger than previous ones. “There are crowds as far as the eye can see,” one witness told Reuters.

Hundreds protest in London over Brunei's anti-gay sharia laws

LONDON (Reuters) - Hundreds of people rallied outside the Brunei-owned Dorchester hotel in London on Saturday in protest at new Islamic sharia laws in the country that punish homosexuality, adultery and rape with the death penalty. Brunei, a Muslim-majority former British protectorate with a population of 400,000, has defended its right to implement sharia that punishes sodomy, adultery and rape with the death penalty — including by stoning, and theft with amputation. The laws, elements of which were first adopted in 2014, have been rolled out in phases since then including this week, stirring international outrage.

Brunei’s state-owned investment agency BIA owns the Dorchester Collection hotel group, which features luxury venues such as the Dorchester, the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Plaza Athenee in Paris. On Saturday, protesters gathered outside the Dorchester carrying banners, with some breaking through a barrier to reach the entrance where they held rainbow flags and chanted slogans such as “shame on you” and “gay rights, human rights”, television footage showed. Human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell said death by stoning “has no place in the 21st century”. “Stoning to death is a particularly unique, cruel, brutal punishment designed to prolong the agony of the person being killed,” he told Reuters. The Dorchester hotel did not immediately respond to an emailed request from Reuters for comment on Saturday. The United Nations said on Wednesday Brunei was violating human rights by implementing its sharia measures.
