Foolish fool you do not need technology to do inceptions. All you need is a key board and the knowledge to pick the perfect time to drop a seemingly sterile comment in a convo that will act as seed to induce an idea in the minds of the participants. Or in the real world all you need is to pick the perfect oportunity to have a fake convo that will be overheard by the staff of someone you want ot influence. (That's how Pocahontas fell for the idea it was safe to take the DNA test challenge). No theory here, I do inceptions.
