Are you trying to imply that it's now possible to disable Google services on modern phones now. When I was younger the convenient method was cyanogenmod/lineageos without installing gapps. Or don't carry one.
Does this method carry over to other bloatware on the phone that are over-permissioned too?

I can only test on two American unmoded phones and a European/Worldwide Replicant that I'm willing to to re-stock. However they're old and not capable of running 8 much less nine.
Getting one of them out of a draw and charging up now.

On a sidenote, the day the Presidential Alert Test was sent out I had them set up to receive it. The worldwide phones stock or non-stock didn't get it. The American phones (again both kinds) did get it.
And just like that I have the sudden urge to re-setup my build environments and start building again.
