Learn to understand the Bible on your own. Don't accept another person's interpretation.
Read between the lines. Get the full PICTURE. Understand broad themes that are woven through both the Old and New Testaments. God's voice didn't change. God's message didn't change. The nature of God is that God does not change. Understand that what you read and the events that occurred which were written down are a SHADOW of heavenly events, sometimes multiple shadows echoing throughout history. Understand that in God's heavenly realm, all of time exists simultaneously and is laid out like you would view a diorama of a river. God grasps the whole simultaneously.
When you start viewing the Bible in this way, new understanding might emerge.
God never abrogated the covenants he made with the people. Mankind keeps abrogating the covenants. Read Jeremiah 31:31–34 and think deeply on it.
