AURORA, Mo. – UPDATE: Our crew on scene was told a pet company was currently operating in the building but there is no word on what sparked the flames.

Aurora Rural Fire Protection posted on their Facebook page around 7:30 that crews were responding to a fire at First Christian Church in downtown Aurora.

KOLR10 news crews are on their way to Aurora, and we will have more details for you later tonight.

This is the same church KOLR10 reported on back in 2013 when it closed its doors after 142 years.
