I think your guy is a bit off. The Bible itself transliterated the meaning of the writing on the wall. It was related to time, not money—to let the Babylonian king know that he was out of time and that the end of the Babylonian empire had come. The angel also explained that the 'times' (2520 years) follows the end of Babylon's fall that night. 2520 years into the future after 537 B.C. leads to the beginning years of the 20th century. The Titanic went down, a lot of uncertainty, global chaos, and a big war. None of these things are coincidence, especially if a spirit creature made a point of pointing out when the times would end. I don't know enough about it, but I doubt that Babylon's wall has any relationship to ours.
It seems that God made a point of bringing down King Nebuchadnezzer despite Babylon's huge and impressive walls. The record shows that God used Babylon to destroy Judah in order to teach the unfaithful Jews a lesson. I guess it was just time to end Babylon and move it out of the way. The Medes/Persians attacked the city and defeated it without a battle because the Babylonians were caught completely off guard.
There is some spiritual message here, but it doesn't connect with our movement. If one is a believer, then what the Bible is suggesting is that the 2520 years brings humanity to the beginning of the end of something. Most believers, regardless of their religion, concur than we're in an 'end of days' era. Back in the day, the ancient Jews were allowed to leave to go back and rebuild Jerusalem. The point of it all was that during this 'end of days' time there would be a time of enlightenment, learning, mass spiritual awakening, rebirth, and rebuilding.
This is not the illuminism that modern day demon worshipers look to. It is spiritual awakening from God. The real thing. I honestly believe that this is where we are in the stream of time. And the battle against evil is one that God himself will fight. We may not be 100% certain of the details, but we're most definitely in the right place.
