Adolf Hitler and Geli Raubal, his niece

had a child in 1926.

A year prior, Geli had spent a lot of time with hitler as her mother worked as his house maid.

That child was born when hitler's rise to power was most important, having just assumed the position of fuhrer.

Hitler ruled Geli's life with an iron fist. He loved her, but could not trust her not to ruin his political career.

To hide from a scandal, that child was given to Ludwig Kasner and his wife Margarethe.

NEED TO DIG for connections between Kasner and Hitler.

Might be WW1 as Kasner fought for Germany at the start, but was captured and conscripted in the Blue Army/Haller's Army for the Entente.

It's really strange when searching online for Angela Merkel's father.

Most websites DEFINITELY (*sic) say that Ludwig Kasner was her grandfather.

Absolutely the truth.

Definitely not Hitler.

Ludwig Kasner was her grandfather, no questions…

very little can be found without much effort about her father Horst Kasner.

His own wikipedia article fawns over how much Ludwig Kasner is most definitely his father.

Look at pic related and you tell me?

GERMAN NAMING TRADITIONS

It was very common for the middle name of your first born daughter to be named after the mother's mother.

The first name, however, was a spiritual name usually after a favored saint.

It was extremely common to see the same spiritual name (first name) throughout a family.

Angela Franziska Johanna Hitler (Adolf's half sister)

Angela Maria Raubal

-Horst Kasner

Angela Dorothea Merkel ←-carried on the family tradition.
