Brayton Point power plant, one of the largest coal burning electric generators in the northeast built two huge cooling towers costing hundreds of millions closes just a few years later and is bought up by developers. The cooling towers are being dropped soon. There has been something spoopy about this power plant and the crazy amounts of money spent there over the last couple of decades with it being offline constantly for this or that.
Spend a billion dollars on an huge old coal fired plant just to demolish it with plans to re develop the land but nobody knows for what.
I’m not a digger but I thought I’d toss it out there.
It’s a topic of much talk and I want to see those massive cooling towers come down. That will be some show.
The place is huge and looks like a nuke plant when you view it.
