I also did a dig on svetlana.

Did you know that the name of the woman who got the FBI agent sent to jail for espionage — that Adam Schiff became famous for as a US Attorney —

did you know her name was also Svetlana?

And Schiff once said "they're always named Svetlana"

Here is a link to Stefan Halper – everything you ever needed to know –

the big daddy of the spy game himself

under contract from the CIA

a dig on Schiff and Svetlana Ogorodnikov "the spy turned FBI informant"

after reading various reports about this case it looks very much like the FBI agent was sucked into a honeypot

The man was a Mormon (until he was excommunicated for adultery)

He was overweight and the FBI gave him duty listening to wiretaps. Not fun.

He was becoming heavily in debt.

He met a Russian woman who seemed attracted to the obese agent.

He personally took her to San Francisco to the Russian embassy for paperwork needs.

It was on this "visit" to the embassy that the FBI began surveilling him

OR SO THE STORY GOES

The woman requests documents, offers money, he gave some FBI manual.

When he realized he was in too deep – thinking that he was going to bust a Russian spy himself – he decides to make a report to his supervisor about his scheme to arrest a Russian spy.

Supervisor arrests him instead.

There were three trials.

First trial was hung jury.

Second trial the prosecutor used lie detector evidence – conviction overturned in Cal Supreme Court

Third trial – this was Schiff's trial. He painted this man in a way that was humiliating. The agent lost everything because of this.

It's a sad story.

Svetlana served some time and came out to do work for the FBI – which helped her immigration status.

How the House Intelligence Committee Collapsed on Adam Schiff

The inside story of the California Democrat’s failed crusade to investigate Donald Trump

“It helps to know the right questions to ask, and the evidence that you need, and how to organize an investigation,” says Schiff. “And then how to talk about it in a way that people can understand.”

CA’s Adam Schiff: All Roads Lead to Russia?

BETH CONE KRAMER 12 FEBRUARY 2018

(excerpts)

This week, news broke that Nunes, who joins Trump in his harsh criticism of the media, has his own media website called “The California Republican,” to cover “the best of US, California, and Central Valley news, sports, and analysis,” paid for by his own campaign committee, offering his own spin on Trump-Russiagate.

Rep. Schiff rebuffed Trump’s refusals, CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday that, “The hypocrisy of this just kind of reaches out and grabs you by the throat. This is a president who puts his own personal interest above all else.”

Israel elections April 9

Day before election, Gantz says ‘the right is not in danger — Netanyahu is’

Blue and White leader dismisses PM’s pledge to extend Israeli sovereignty to West Bank settlements as ‘an electioneering stunt,’ vows to form ‘a cabinet of reconciliation’

Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz on Monday dismissed Prime Minister Benjamin

Netanyahu’s assertion that “right-wing rule is in danger” in Tuesday’s election, saying it was only Netanyahu’s hold on power that was in a precarious position.

“The right is not in danger, Netanyahu is in danger. It is not a security threat, but a legal one,” he told Army Radio, citing the various corruption probes into the prime minister’s affairs.

Facing a possible indictment in three corruption cases, including one charge of bribery, Netanyahu has been rumored to be planning to condition, or tacitly link, entry to the post-election coalition he hopes to form on support for the so-called “French law,” which would shelter him from prosecution as long as he remains in office.

Netanyahu has denied seeking such legislation — he told Channel 12 on Monday: “There will be no French Law and no change to the immunity law. It’s all spin” — though many of his allies have touted it as a possibility.

“Do we want to allow Netanyahu to continue to celebrate? The French law? We’ll be the biggest party and the president will ask us to establish a government,” Gantz said.

Gantz also asserted that Netanyahu’s pledge to seek to extend Israeli sovereignty over West Bank settlements if reelected was not genuine.

“You can’t get excited about something someone throws out there a minute before elections, when he’s had 13 years to do it. It’s obviously just an electioneering stunt.”

Gantz said Israel needed to choose between “a direction of unity and connection and hope” and one of “extremism.” He vowed to form “a cabinet of reconciliation, with representatives from the [current] coalition and opposition.”
